Environmental Policy Statement

M J Mapp is a specialist firm of chartered surveyors, providing the best possible advice on the management of commercial and retail property in the UK. M J Mapp employs over 180 people. About 90 people are located in our London Office in Great Portland Street with the rest operating throughout the UK.

M J Mapp are committed to improving our environmental awareness and performance. We are aware that our daily activities have an effect on the environment both directly and indirectly and we endeavour to provide the best possible environmental outcome within our property management services.

To manage these activities we are operating an environmental management system conforming to ISO14001. We are committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, prevent pollution and take action to continually improve our environmental performance across all our activities, products and services. We monitor and review progress of environmental performance regularly and provide staff training on relevant environmental issues.

Specific items which we have identified as needing to manage in our building include:

- Reducing, reusing and recycling waste

- Reducing energy usage within our offices

- Increasing the use of recycled materials and reducing the amount of stationary used within our office operations

- Reducing the environmental impact of our supply chain

- Monitoring and reducing the impacts of business travel

- Working with clients to reduce the impacts of their buildings
