Bespoke reporting


We were retained on an £800m fund by Orchard Street Investment Management and asked to provide daily reporting in a format compatible for importing into their financial accounting system.

We worked closely with the client to understand and map out their detailed requirements, enabling our internal systems specialists to quickly specify functional solutions and develop a custom reporting routine with our software providers.

Detailed testing and constant communications and feedback ensured we met the brief, and as result we are efficiently delivering automated, accurate and transparent data on a daily basis.

Rent collection


Following the acquisition of a £450m fund our client tasked us with collecting 100% of rents before the quarter day.

The previous collection rate was below 80%. Our Credit Controllers and Surveyors, in the client team, worked collaboratively and put together a plan that began the collection process several weeks before the due date.

Consistent communication between all parties enabled us to eliminate queries and secure all payments prior to the due date. We successfully met the target and are continuing to do so.

Our client accounting team work closely with our clients to integrate and align procedures. The management of property and lease data, best-practice service charge account management, and the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting all combine to provide a day to day property accounting service that is a seamless extension of our clients' own accounting teams.

We understand the importance of compliance, transparency and risk mitigation and are audited annually on internal controls under ISAE 3402 which we share with our clients.

We are also able to provide a fund accounting solution in conjunction with our approved partners, ensuring our clients received an end to end solution. We constantly look at what we do and how we do it, and invest in technology to deliver effective solutions. It is in our nature to continuously seek to improve the value we deliver to our clients.

Cathy has 23 years’ accounting experience within Banking, Insurance and Property including G E Real Estate and Jones Lang LaSalle. She joined M J Mapp in July 2011 as Associate Director of Central Accounts where she is responsible for Cashiering, Credit Control and Purchase Ledger teams. Cathy was promoted to Director in 2016.
